LF Connection Keeper - Windows Does LFCK support PPPoE logins?No. LFCK can only login to web-based login servers.
The network traffic monitor will however work regardless of which connection type you have. |

How do I uninstall the 0.2 version?* Start LFCK 0.2 and enter the configuration.
* Deselect the functionallity to login at startup.
* Click the "Clean Registry" button and exit the configuration dialog by clicking CANCEL.
* You can now safely remove the directory you installed LFCK 0.2 in. The default is "C:\Program Files\LF Connection Keeper". |
How do I uninstall the 0.3x / 0.4x / 5.x versions?Make sure you have shut down LFCK before uninstalling.
Proceed by clicking the "Uninstall LF Connection Keeper" icon in LFCK's start menu group. |
If you're having problem uninstalling this way you can do it manually.
* Start LFCK and enter the configuration
* Deselect the "Run as Service" and "Start with Windows" options
* Shut down LFCK through the menu File -> Exit
* Go to the original installation directory and remove all the files |
I get an error message about "mfc42.dll" what is that?The Microsoft Foundation Classes library file is needed to run LFCK.
This file can be downloaded from our download section of lfdomain.com and should be placed in your LFCK directory. |
LFCK won't login after I installed Norton Internet Security 2003.To have LFCK work with NIS 2003 follow these steps:
* Open NIS2003 and from the main menu choose
'Internet Security' -> Firewall / Brandvägg
* Find the list of http ports and remove port 80
* Click OK |
When I'm not logged in as Administrator, LFCK keeps asking for the user name and password.You must configure LFCK from the administrator account. Set it to "run as service" and "start with windows". |
I get "Internet Connection Failed" when I'm trying to log in, or the Auto detection of the login server failsAlways try to login manually through the loginpage to verify that the problem isn't with your internet connection.
Then you can try the following:
*) Disable your proxy settings (under "Internet Options" in windows) or enter the loginserver's address to bypass the proxy server.
These are; Telia: 10.0.0.6 Telenordia: login.telenordia.se
*) Shutdown programs like WebWasher, ZoneAlarm and any anti-virus programs that filters webtraffic, to see if it works better without them.
Then reconfigure the program that disturbed LFCK.

I get "Internet Connection Failed" when LFCK starts with windowsWindows is slow with bringing up the network after a reboot so LFCK can't reach the loginserver when trying.
This will be compensated for in newer versions.
Login by pressing the Login button manually for now. |
I get "Response 502" or "Response 504" when I'm trying to log inHTTP Error 502: Bad Gateway
HTTP Error 504: Gateway Timeout
Check your proxy / firewall settings to allow LFCK to connect to your ISP's login server on port 80.

Your ISP's login server is unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. |
